Nature friendly recreation and landscape aesthetics

Research project of the Bayerische Staatsministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten in München (Bavarian Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture, and Forests in Munich/Germany)

Within this frame of starting conditions the available manual with its practice-oriented solutions wants to initiate processes of fostering rural areas as places of nature-friendly recreation and of improving the living conditions of people in rural areas. To achieve these goals the aesthetic qualification of the landscape in agriculturally weak areas is considered as a crucial point, which implies the promotion and, if necessary, the redefinition of regional identity.
